MOUNTSORREL QUARRY – LEICESTERSHIRE
R&B have recently supplied to NT Killingley Ltd via a local civils merchant, a bespoke range of sealed & locking Ductile iron covers and frames (1200 x 1200) to suit our D400 COMPASS® Highway duct access chamber system, to Europe’s largest granite quarry based in Mountsorrel – Leicestershire.
The project included a new access road and roundabout junctions which is part of an ongoing scheme to increase production at the Mountsorrel site.
The Duct access chambers where pre-drilled on each side which allowed increased flexibility when installing ducting. Our D400 covers and frames were fitted with galvanised sealing plates to stop ingress and egress of water into the electrical installations below.
